From July 20 to August 3, three students from Liupanshui Normal University participated in a 14-day short-term exchange and study activity organized by Guizhou Education Association for International Exchange for outstanding university students to the University of Malaya in Malaysia.
Students enter the campus and classroom of the University of Malaya to interact with local students and experience the charm of different languages and cultures. They visit the National Art Museum of Malaysia and the National Science Center to learn about the cultural landscape, history and culture of Malaysia.They have participated in academic activities, seminars, academic lectures and research projects, expanded professional knowledge, deepened the understanding of relevant professional fields, and improved the ability of cross-cultural communication and teamwork. Tang Xinrui, a student from the School of Literature and Journalism, after experiencing the local shadow puppetry, said, “I seem to have traveled through time and space and felt Malaysia's profound cultural heritage and unique artistic charm. Shadow puppetry's performance is full of interesting and interactive, which makes me deeply intoxicated. This experience not only let me appreciate the unique charm of Malaysian traditional culture, but also let me love and respect the cultural heritage of different countries more.” Hu Xingbo, a student from the School of Foreign Languages, said proudly after visiting Huawei Enterprise in Malaysia, “The development of Huawei Enterprise in Malaysia has brought high-quality communication services to the local people and strengthened our national self-confidence!”
Reading ten thousand books is like traveling ten thousdand miles. Through this cultural exchange learning activity, students have experienced the culture, history and customs of different countries, broadened their horizons and enhanced their understanding of cultural diversity.
